Magpi (the “new EpiSurveyor” coming out in January) has more than 40 new features (as well as major improvements to old ones). Here’s the full list of new features:

1. SPEED — Magpi is WAY faster than EpiSurveyor, even over a slow connection. You’ll notice the difference immediately. Fewer page loads, faster code, everything is just much faster.
2. More free data — we’re increasing the annual upload limit for free users by 20% from 5000 per year to 6000 per year
3. registration – register and login using your email address, username, or mobile number
4. mapping - open your maps in Google Maps.
5. mapping - color-code the pins on your map to match your data, just by choosing from a menu.
6. mapping - publish live updating maps to stand-alone webpages for sharing
7. mapping - embed live updating maps in other websites
8. mapping – easy filtering of dates with pulldown menu of choices (e.g. “last week”, “this month”, etc)
9. mapping – easy filtering by search terms
10. mapping – easy filtering by user with pulldown menu of all data collectors
11. analysis – publish live updating reports to stand-alone webpages for sharing
12. analysis – embed live updating reports in other websites
13. analysis – easy filtering of dates with pulldown menu of choices (e.g. “last week”, “this month”, etc)

16. data - checkbox questions are now automatically separated into individual yes/no questions in your dataset to make analysis easy
17. data – easily enter data into on-screen forms complete with skip logic and other constraints
18. data – share on-screen forms with non-Magpi users so they can enter data online (think of it as Survey Monkey Lite)
19. data – Publish live updating datasets to stand-alone webpages for sharing
20. data – Embed live updating datasets in other websites

24. form design – modify forms after you’ve collected data

29. form design - keyboard shortcuts for question creation, form saving, and more
30. form design - better logic with a completely new and much easier method of adding skips and other logic to a form.

32. enterprise – “white labeling” — use your own logo and branding when you log into the website
33. enterprise – define teams of users to make sharing forms easier
34. enterprise – bulk import of users
35. enterprise – register users without an email address — no more creating gmail accounts for your enumerators
36. enterprise – two week free Enterprise trial so you can try our API
37. account – users can see their remaining upload credits, view and print invoices on account page
38. account – users can upgrade or downgrade themselves on account page
39. account – users can “top up” their upload credits themselves on account page
40. general – click on column headers to sort
41. general – better paging for list displays
42. general – fewer page loads, for increased speed over slow connections
43. general – system remembers filter settings when changing between data, maps, and analysis
44. general – system collects three date-time stamps for each record: record start, record end, record submitted to server
