Come join the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences as we raise money for neglected tropical disease (NTD) control and elimination efforts.
NTDs are a group of 13 debilitating but often ignored diseases that affect what many call the "bottom billion," or the poorest 1.4 billion people who live on this planet. These NTDs cause a huge disease burden: they disfigure, stunt growth and cognition in children, and can lead to blindness, illness, and death.
Dr. Selanikio will deliver the keynote talk at Vanderbilt University Medical Center Institute for Global Health during World Health Week in April on the topic developing sustainable and scalable information technology tools for global health. Past speakers have included Dr. Paul Farmer of Partners in Health and former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop.
Dr. Selanikio, co-founder of DataDyne, will speak on extremely affordable healthcare technologies at the upcoming 7th annual World Health Care Congress. (Click link to see specific event times at the Congress)
