DataDyne wins USAID Tech Challenge for Atrocity Prevention

Under the leadership of Physicians for Human Rights, a team consisting of PHR, Informacam and DataDyne has just been awarded 1st prize in the Tech Challenge for Atrocity Prevention. Nominations open for the Lemelson-MIT Award for Global Innovation

Each year, the Lemelson-MIT Program recognizes outstanding inventors working on technological inventions to help the poor in developing countries with the $100,000 Lemelson-MIT Award for Global Innovation. The award also establishes inventor role models who can inspire youth to solve challenges in the developing world through invention. Past winners include Martin Fisher, BP Agrawal, Elizabeth Hausler, Ashok Gadgil, and DataDyne’s own Dr. Joel Selanikio. DataDyne Wins ComputerWorld 21st Century Achievement Award

Hot on the heels of being named one of 200 ComputerWorld laureates for “visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change,” DataDyne was picked as one of only 10 laureates to receive the 21st Century Achievement Award. DataDyne won in the area of “collaboration,” in recognition of the impact its EpiSurveyor mobile data collection system is having on data collection and sharing for international development and global health.
