We are interested in utilizing this type of service, namely downloading forms, completing surveys and then uploading the collected data to a server. If we upload the data to a server via a cell phone, is the cell phone network carrier going to have a copy of the data on their own server, since it's being transmitted over their network?

My boss is asking me this question and my own initial reaction is "yes, I would imagine a copy of the data is stored somewhere on the telecom provider's server since they're doing the transmitting.

I read the all the literature on this site, but it only refers to uploading to a "server," and I'm not sure if it is a datadyne server or if it is one we set up.

We're trying to be conscious of privacy concerns and I think he's a little nervous if the data is stored on any server other than our's or our clients.
