Joel Selanikio on 23 March 2011 - 4:56pm
Researchers Magaly Blas and Isaac Alva at the Unit of HIV and STD epidemiology at Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru have been using EpiSurveyor to assess the association between the Human Papilloma Virus and the Human T-lymphotropic virus (HTLV) in indigenous women from the Peruvian Amazon. These researchers want to see if HTLV has a similar behavior as HIV with regards to increasing risk for cervical cancer.
