Supporting American Red Cross in Aceh, Indonesia

In March 2005, DataDyne was selected by American Red Cross (ARC) to support their work in tsunami-affected regions, principally Aceh, Indonesia.

ARC, with its role as part of the Measles Initiative, has played a role in vaccinating more than 140 million children in Africa, and is applying the lessons from that experience to its work in Aceh.

DataDyne is proud to be providing the primary support for multi-year monitoring and evaluation of the measles vaccination efforts in Aceh and other tsunami-ravaged areas, and to be working with UNICEF and other Measles Initiative partners.

Washington Post profiles DataDyne

The Washington Post's David Brown met up with Joel Selanikio in Calang, Indonesia after the December 2004 tsunami, and profiled DataDyne's efforts to standardize data collection and improve the coordination of disaster response efforts.
